Established in 2013, The Champlain Bass Series has been about providing a platform for serious tournament bass anglers who love Lake Champlain and all it has to offer.  Our goal has always been to provide a top-notch trail to our family of anglers. We strive to provide well organized and professional events and include extras to make the experience something anglers will be proud to be a part of.

After almost ten years, We have decided to open up the series by having less restrictions and creating more space for additional anglers that may have other commitments but will now have the opportunity to fish with us. In 2022 we are going to open our series up and allow anglers to either fish by themselves or with a partner, still 5 fish. This accomplishes several things but ultimately gives anglers flexibility and ability to choose how and when they want to fish. We also see this as a way for anglers to fish with their kids or other family members as well as get more high school anglers involved. There will be incentives to fish all of our events IE: (AOY Payout, Championship) or a combination of the 2 ideas. Nothing changes for our existing anglers other than the opportunity to have more boats. This is a win-win scenario and we are looking forward to providing you guys again with the ultimate tournament experience. 30 boat participants = contingency awards from Boat companies (Skeeter, Phoenix, etc.)

Jimmy Kennedy

Marketing/Sponsors/High School Anglers

Jimmy was born and raised in rural N.E. Mississippi and eventually found his way through politics in Washington, D.C. and restaurants in New York City to Vermont and Lake Champlain. From Mississippi to Vermont, he continued to fish both freshwater and saltwater and joined the St. Albans Bass Club shortly after moving to Vermont. He now owns and operates, J.D.K. B.B.Q. Catering and was the founder of the well-known River Run Restaurant in Plainfield, VT.  Jimmy is the proud father of two daughters, Josie and June, and is luckily married to Emma Kopecky.

Jimmy joined Bill and Tommy with the Champlain Bass Series after a couple of years to help with marketing and sponsors and he has continued in that role as well as fishing the Series. He is most proud with how the Series has evolved into using high school anglers as the co-anglers and is focused on this opportunity for both high school anglers and the Series itself.
